Missionary Reunion 2019

Missionary Reunion
June 28, 2019
Thank you to all who were able to come to our home for the 2019 MHHS Reunion!

It would have been a lot harder to get here if Sister Stone had not found my mistake on this map in time for me to correct it.  I'm including it here so that whenever any of you are in Salt Lake you can come visit us!

Our address is:
2204 East Melinda Lane (3740 South)
SLC, UT, 84109

We figured everyone would recognize our house if we put the handcart
right in the front yard, and it worked!

We asked everyone to check their contact information to make sure it was correct, and to make a name tag in case they couldn't find their missionary badge.

Sister Hirschi and Sister Bailey had lots of fun
because they got to visit with everyone who came!

We are sad to have lost these wonderful missionaries and friends.

Our backyard in the city is nowhere near the size of the one at the ranch, but somehow we managed to cram in enough tables and chairs for everyone.

Elder and Sister Ames were the first to arrive and brought delicious homemade pies - enough to feed all of us!

Chatting in the kitchen. . .

. . . and chatting in the backyard.

The temperature was supposed to be in the high 90's today with winds of 30 mph, so we put up our little pop-ups and tied them down, hoping they wouldn't blow away.
And they didn't!
Instead, we had a nice, shady area for the serving tables . . .
. . . and the light breeze kept us cool all afternoon.

I tried to take a panoramic picture of everything.

At 12:30 we called everyone together, and after a beautiful prayer
and blessing on the food by President Bushman . . .

. . .  we had a fabulous Pot Luck Lunch with the best food around -
just like Sundays at Martin's Cove!

Just look at that dessert table!!

Then, for the rest of the afternoon everyone ate and visited and ate and laughed and ate and remembered and ate some more!  It was SO fun!

Thanks again to ALL of you who were able to come!  You made our day!  We love you all, and will see you again at the next reunion in two years: 2021!
